| Turn off petrol cock below the autovac (Fig. 1, page 3). Disconnect petrol pipe at the union A below the float chamber. Unscrew fly nut B holding float chamber to mixing chamber. When replacing be sure this fly nut is properly tightened. Looseness will cause an air leak that will result in irregular low speed running. | Stand in front of the radiator, and draw forward the handles A. These handles control the bolts B which lock the bonnet sides and the catches that engage with the hooks C in the bonnet top. Lift up the bonnet top to open; it is self-supporting. The bonnet sides can be lifted bodily off their hinges when necessary | If the car pitches too much, tighten the
shock absorbers by using a spanner on the nut A. There is a pointer attached to the nut in order to facilitate the equal adjustment of the shock absorbers on opposite sides of the car. |
