SYAL Cross country Oswestry 4 Dec

The last SYAL cross country races take place at the Marches School, Morda Road, Oswestry, SY11 2AR on Sunday 4 December.

All those coming to the races shoud use the nominated parking facility at Marches School accessed from Morda Road. Follow the footpath from the car park to the top of the school, past the Sportshall and through the gate, crossing the road to the course at Oswestry School.

Sportshall results 20 Nov (updated)

We had a good turnout last Sunday, and some great results.
U11G 3rd
U13G, U13B, U15G 2nd
U11B, U15B 1st

This meant we were overall first on the day, and our boys also won the event.

By my reckoning the U11B are in overall 1st, and in the U15B competition, the lead is split three ways and will go down to match points. The club are still in overall second behind Bridgnorth.

The next sportshall competition is on 15 January at Wenlock. Please remember that this event starts at 10am.

Much Wenlock cross country results

Many thanks to everyone who helped, especially those who stood marshalling on a very chilly afternoon.

The results are now up online at

We continued to improve our turnout, although it seems other clubs are doing the same. Congratulations to Beth on another fabulous win, and to Ruari on another great third place. Despite limited success on the day our U13G, U15G and U17W all go into the last race in bronze medal positions and our girls are in second overall.

The final race, with presentations afterwards, is on 4 Dec at the Marches School, Oswestry. More details nearer the time.
